About Me
Hi, I'm Sean.
I'm a materials scientist and engineer currently working on OLED display R&D at Apple.
I studied chemistry at the University of Science and Technology of China (USTC), then earned a PhD in Materials Science and Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin (UT Austin), focusing on thin film materials, graphene, and flexible electronics.
Over the past decade, I've worked across semiconductor and display industries — from logic and memory chips at Intel to OLED display technology at Apple.
But beyond engineering, I've always been curious about bigger questions:
- How will AI help us understand human consciousness?
- What technologies will shape the next decades?
- How should individuals keep exploring and growing in an era of uncertainty?
This website is where I document my thinking, experiments, and learning — and a place to start anew.
